Technology Readiness Levels (TRLs) are a standardized 9-point scale used by governments and industries to assess the maturity of a technology. Originally developed by NASA in the 1970s, the scale provides a common language for engineers, investors, and policymakers to evaluate technical risks and readiness for market deployment.
